Describe what you saw:

Observed graphs indicating the percentage of students who could talk to teachers about:
-Personal problems
-Academic issues
-Not getting along with teachers
-Getting robbed
-Being teased
-Offered drugs

Observed that inner city school's such as Feinstein, Central high, Mount Pleasent, and Central Falls indicated that students had a lower percentage of getting robbed in school, being teased, and having someone try to sell them drugs compared to outer city school's such as Cumberland, North Kingstown, Westerly, and Coventry.

Why might this be useful for us?

This is important to know due to the fact that parents are most often concerned for the safety of their child and their presumptions that inner city schools are more dangerous than those than outer city schools. The graphs can show how students felt about their school and whether they felt safe or not.

Other Notes: The graphs shown "only" present the percentage of students who feel they can talk to teachers about these subjects. The percentages could be higher if the number of students who reported their point of view from each school could be viewed.
